Don't modify supplies without evaluating impact on patiensts

Making the longer (20 ft) drain and patient tubes on the cassettes no longer available has caused significant and harmful damage to patients. For the savings of a few cents you have significantly reduced the level of care for patients. I think that was a poor and greedy decision.

this is a patient safety issue! with the shorter lines I can no longer reach the toilet in the middle of the night. Did Frsenius forget that some dialysis patients still make urine? Fresenius’s lack of transparency failed badly. Ask for the patient perspective before making such a change. Dialysis is already hard on us, dont make is worse.

The shortened lines work a lot better in our situation, but I was fearful and felt lucky to have escaped the change without a negative impact. Also, I have to cut up fewer boxes.

I did discuss this with my wife's care team (I am the caregiver), and they were just as irritated as the patient at the lack of communication. So Al Boucher's canned statement is meaningless. There's nowhere to go with these complaints (it is getting worse).

They should offer emergency SKUs for patients and, if needed, have the clinic assess their homes. This is just an idea.

YES! This has significantly impacted my situation. Totally without any warning. It took me awhile to figure out how Iin the hell to get my drain to the toilet. No consideration for patients whatsoever! Grrrrrrrr
