Blood pressures without a time stamp is useless. How can you see a trend if there is no time associated. If you had two BPs in the AM and one was 177 and the other 130, without a time stamp how would you know the trend.

I add Marilyn's vitals to a workbook; I share the results with her doctor. The trend ultimately helps dosages of hydralazine, metoprolol, losartan, etc. Caregivers (including doctors and nurses) operate best with more data. Maybe add a transaction sub-table with BP vital details and timestamp. This wouldn't change the granularity of the table where AM and PM are part of the natural key. Add an input box for time only, and when you write the transaction to the database, you could write the data to the sub-table (a database trigger or a class library module).
This would not mess up existing tables, except for being part of a foreign key with the parent table that has AM and PM. Later reporting could trend multiple timestamps. Maybe someday you could provide downloads for patients and doctors. Analytics!
Thank you for your feedback. Could you provide more details on how often your are taking multiple vitals through out the day? We do have the ability to identify AM and PM readings but only the first vital logged is displayed on the vitals graphs.
